I don't know about you, but I absolutely love dessert. Sometimes I
will purposely eat less during the meal just so I can have plenty of
room left over for dessert. Below you will find one of my favorite
healthy vegetarian recipes that you can use as a dessert, or even as a
quick snack. Of all the healthy vegetarian recipes, this is one of the
easiest ones to make too!
Blueberry Crisp
Ingredients:
¾ Cup of white flour ½ Cup of sugar, or zero calorie sweetener 1 Tablespoon of cinnamon (or to taste) ½ Cup of butter or margarine ¾ Cup of rolled oats or quick oats 4 Cups of blueberries
Step 1: Mix together the flour, cinnamon and sugar.
Step 2: Add the butter or margarine to the mix, and mix together until it is all crumbly.
Step 3: Add the oats to the mixture and mix in well.
Step 4: Separate one quarter of that mixture, and mix it in with the 4 cups of blueberries.
Step 5: Add the blueberry mixture to the bottom of a buttered baking dish or casserole dish.
Step 6: Sprinkle the remainder of the mixture over top of the blueberries.
Step 7: Place baking or casserole dish in the middle of the oven rack, and bake at 350C for forty minutes.
That's it! You're done! This is an absolutely delicious recipe that you can make at home any time. Your family will look forward to devouring it every time you make it.
This is one of my favorite healthy vegetarian recipes simply because it is so easy to make, and it's mouth-wateringly delicious. It is filled with fiber and other valuable nutrients. You can create this same recipe using apples or strawberries or even raspberries as well, depending on your preference.
