The main ingredients in pancakes are the following:
Flour, Milk, Eggs, Baking Powder, Sugar, and Vanilla Extract.
Take some flour and some baking powder and mix them in a bowl. This should be approximately 1 teaspoon of baking powder per cup of flour. Add 1 or 2 eggs to the mixture. Then add the milk, vanilla extract and sugar. To make sure the batter comes out right pour the milk in slowly as the last ingredient until the batter is the consistency you want. Make sure to mix the batter well with a whisk or large fork in order to get all the clumps out.
The next step is to cook your pancakes. Grease a pan and heat it over medium-high heat. Use about a quarter cup of batter per pancake. Cook each pancake until they are a golden brown on each side. Remove the pancakes from the pan and they are ready to serve.
They key to making pancakes is fine tuning the recipe to your own taste. There is room for error in all of the ingredients. Just adjust the amounts to suite you and your guests.
