Avocado Salsa Recipe

One of the nutritional recipes and a great appetizer is avocado salsa. Very easy to prepare, this recipe is quite filling as well. Avocado is a Mexican fruit, also known as alligator pear or butter pear due to its shape. It is popularly known as 'the apple of the winter' in some South American countries.

Ingredients to Prepare Avocado Salsa
4 fresh avocados, which are peeled and diced
16 ounce or 1package thawed frozen corn kernels
2.25 ounce or 2 cans diced olives that are drained
1 red chopped bell pepper
1 small chopped onion
5 cloves garlic that is minced
1/3rd cup of olive oil
1/4th cup of fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons of cider vinegar
1-teaspoon oregano, which is dried
½ teaspoon salt, or according to taste
½ teaspoon finely crushed black pepper
Method to Prepare the Avocado Salsa
First, you need take a large bowl in order to mix sliced olives, chopped red bell pepper and chopped onion. In another small bowl, mix together lemon juice, olive oil, cider vinegar, dried oregano, salt, black pepper along with minced garlic. Ensure that these ingredients are properly blended. Next, pour the mixture into the larger bowl, which contains the corn mixture.
Toss everything in properly but carefully. Keep this mixture in the refrigerator overnight or for at least eight (8) hours. This will help to set the ingredients well and will give it a great taste. The next morning, before serving this delicious appetizer to your guests, toss in the diced avocados. Your guests would simply love it.
Though this avocado recipe requires 30 minutes to prepare, it is ready in about 8 hours and 30 minutes approximately.
Tip: You should wear gloves when mixing the ingredients, as peppers sting and cause skin irritation. Moreover, while handling ingredients, you should avoid any contact with your eye.
