Cooking quinoa is probably the easiest thing that you can prepare in your kitchen. You cook quinoa in the same way as you cook rice.
Let's see how to cook quinoa:
You will need 1 cup of quinoa and 2 cups of water - depends of course for how many people you are serving food.
Rinse the quinoa in cold water so you can get rid of saponins. Most of the quinoa brads you buy in the stores or online comes actually pre-rinsed, so don't worry too much about it.
Bring water and quinoa to the boil then reduce the heat and simmer the quinoa for about 10-15 minutes.
Quinoa is ready when you can see the little spiral lines.
Remove quinoa from the heat and if there is any excess water then drain it.
Place quinoa in a bigger bowl and you can fluff it with a fork.
At this stage quinoa is ready to mix with anything or everything. This is the cooked quinoa what you can use as a side dish, you can add it to soups or to casseroles. It is up to you.
If you are not an expert in the kitchen you can still prepare this super easy quinoa recipe. It is very tasty and it takes only 20 minutes to cook it. Trust me, I measured the time.
