Recipe for Chocolate Orange Cheesecake
What You Need 
  • 1 cup melted chocolate
  • 1 box grounded chocolate wafer cookies
  • ½ stick melted butter or margarine
  • 1 package softened cream cheese 8 ounce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 oranges for zest
  • 3 separated eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla flavoring
How to Make It
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Scrape the two oranges to create an orange zest and then set aside until needed.
Using a double boiler on a low setting you will melt the 1 cup of chocolate and then set aside until needed.
Using the microwave or a small saucepan, melt the butter or margarine and then set aside until needed.
Using a food processor you will grind the chocolate wafer cookies. Slowly add the melted butter or margarine into the grounded cookie mixture while pouring a thin stream into the opening of the processor and then ground until the ground cookies is moist.
Press this cookie mixture into a spring-form pan evenly and then chill in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes.
Using a medium mixing bowl on a medium setting you will add the cream cheese and beat until smooth. Add the sour cream, sugar and the egg yolks and mix well. Add in the orange zest and the vanilla flavoring and beat until smooth and creamy while taking care to leave no lumps.
Using another small mixing bowl you will add the egg whites and then whip until stiff peaks begin to form. Gently fold this mixture into the filling mixture. Pour this filling mixture into the cookie crust and spread evenly.
Using a small spoon and the melted chocolate, place small dots on to of the filling and then using a butter knife you will make a decorative pattern by swirling the chocolate.
Place the spring-form pan into a large pan and then add hot water into the larger pan create a hot water bath as the cooking process. Add hot water until the water level reaches the half way mark of the spring-form pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and then allow the cheesecake to sit for about 30 more minutes in the hot water bath.
After allowing the dessert to cool in temperature, place in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 4 hours. Cut and then serve.
